Privacy Notice

How we collect, use, share and protect personal data in Brigade. Last updated October 2026.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Brigade is operated by Antony Vincent, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. That means Antony Vincent decides how and why your personal data is processed when you use Brigade.

2. What we collect and why

Account data — your name, email address and login credentials — used to create and secure your account (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).

Kitchen content — orders, mise en place lists, stock levels and notices your team enters — used to provide the service (legal basis: contract).

Support messages — anything you send us when asking for help — used to respond and resolve issues (legal basis: contract and legitimate interests).

Usage and device data — telemetry about how the app is used, device identifiers and IP address — used for security, fraud prevention and product improvement (legal basis: legitimate interests).

Where we rely on consent (for example optional marketing), you can withdraw it at any time. Where we process data to meet a legal obligation, the basis is that obligation.

3. Who we share it with

Service providers and subprocessors who help us run Brigade — hosting, analytics and support tooling — under contracts that protect your data.

Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle processes payment-related data under its own terms when you check out.

Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed, and authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

4. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, account data while your account is active, and kitchen content while your kitchen uses the service. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data — including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise any of them, contact us and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and strict access controls. Each kitchen's information is kept strictly separate and is only visible to members of that kitchen.

7. Cookies

Brigade uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and the service working. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in.

8. Changes and contact

If we change this notice we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Questions about this notice or your data can be sent to us at any time through the support contact in the app.
